Snag LinkAccount & Data Deletion Request
You can ask us to delete your Snag Link account and everything stored with it at any time. You can also delete individual projects, walks, snags and photos yourself in the app without deleting your account.
What is deleted?
- Your sign-in account and profile (name, company, logo)
- All your projects, walks, locations and snags, with their history
- All photos and markups, including photos trades sent back to you
- Your saved trades' contact details
- Every Snag Link you sent, so none of them work any more
- Your subscription record and notification settings
What isn't deleted?
- Your Google Play subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it first in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions.
- Google Play's own purchase records, which Google keeps under its privacy policy.
- Messages you sent from your own WhatsApp, text or email apps, and PDF reports you shared.
- Server logs, which contain account identifiers but not your content, and expire after up to 30 days.
Deletion Timeline
Deleting from the app happens straight away. For an emailed request, we will check that it comes from the account holder; once confirmed, your data is permanently deleted from our database and file storage within 7 business days, and we will email you when it is done.
Received a Snag Link?
If you are a trade and want your name, contact details or replies removed, ask the person who sent you the link, or email us and we will help.
Request Account Deletion
Quickest: in the Snag Link app, tap your photo at the top of the home screen, then Help & legal → Delete account. Everything is deleted straight away.
No longer have the app? Email us to request deletion. If you sign in with email or Google, send it from that address. If you sign in with your mobile number, tell us that number. We may contact you to confirm the request before deleting anything.
